Resumption of Fertility Services at Cambridge IVF - 11th May 2020

On the afternoon of Wednesday 11th May 2020 the Human Embryology and Fertilisation Authority (HFEA) granted Cambridge IVF permission to resume fertility treatment services.  Each licensed fertility centre in the UK must submit specific documentation to the HFEA to demonstrate they have made appropriate considerations and adjustments to their service to protect patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic before their licence to treatment will be restored.

Cambridge IVF have been working for the last month to design pathways in advance of re-opening the centre to people seeking diagnostic services such as Semen Analysis and Fallopian Tube Testing and treatment services such as IVF and ICSI as soon as it is safe to do so.

All of our treatment pathways have been reviewed and we have made changes and added additional process to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible.  This does mean that patients who have experienced our services may notice some changes in practice but all are intended to make treatment safer and more accessible.  We ask you to work with us and allow us to keep everyone safe whilst we prepare to recommence delivering the highest possible standards of clinical care.

We are very happy to be one of the first clinics licensed to resume treatment very shortly and we look forward to helping you in any way we can moving forwards.  We will keep you regularly updated on our next moves in preparation for this on this website as well as on Twitter and Instagram.

Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss you own diagnostic or treatment service needs and rest assured that we are here to help and support you in any way that we can.

With our very best wishes,

Stephen J. Harbottle
