Following national and international guidance the difficult decision has been made to suspend fertility treatments until further notice as a result of COVID-19.The reasons given in the guidance includes the need to reduce the impact on the NHS, as staff such as nurses and doctors will be needed to care for those affected by COVID-19 .
It is clear that there will be considerable demand for services when clinics are permitted to restart treatment. To make the access to treatment as fair as possible a booking system has been introduced so that patients that have had their treatment interrupted or who are due to start treatment can reserve treatment in the first cohorts.
Any patients that are attending the clinic will be contacted in advance and will be screened for any symptoms of COVID-19 and will be advised accordingly.
Many patients wish to continue on their fertility journey in preparation for when the restrictions are lifted we are able to offer telephone and Skype consultations. Our Information sessions will continue and again these will be by Skype.
If you have queries about the guidance over COVID-19 please call 01223 726388 or wish to discuss booking a consultation or Information Session please call on 01223 349010.
