Cambridge IVF opens its doors
Friday 23 September 2011
Cambridge IVF – a new purpose-built unit offering high-quality, personalised care based on the very latest science and research – has opened to patients.
The facility was developed by Cambridge University Hospitals to provide a range of fertility treatments to NHS patients from across the east of England. It also offers IVF to those funding their own care.
Based on the edge of the city in Trumpington, away from the main hospital site, the centre has been fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. It includes a theatre suite and recovery area, three scan and consultation rooms, a laboratory suite and private areas for counselling and confidential discussions.
Designed as a modern but comfortable space, it will be staffed by an experienced and supportive team who can put people at ease and reduce any anxiety they may feel about receiving treatment.
